It lets users access the application from anywhere, meeting the need for mobility. Otherwise, to meet that need, you would have to buy physical servers, pay for resources to maintain them, and manage security settings while accounting for every door you open by exposing the server to the internet.
AVD is scalable and offers pay-as-you-go pricing. For example, during a peak period it's easy to boost system performance to handle higher usage demand, then scale it back down when no longer needed to keep costs in check.
In addition, AVD makes managing company hardware easier. For example, if you work with external consultants who access your internal management tools from their personal computers, you remain the owner and limit access to your sensitive data.
