Recovery Point Objective (RPO)– Determine the point from which a later recovery can be carried out– How much data am I willing to lose?

Recovery Time Objective (RTO)– Determine the maximum acceptable duration to ensure recovery– How long am I willing to go without this data?

To do this, map out your dependencies (IDM, databases, etc.). RPO and RTO are directly tied to each application / system. Which applications/data are essential to business continuity? Which ones can wait?
